Our Approach to Psychotherapy

Inner Guidance Counseling LLC and Tryad Counseling and Healing Center LLC  offer individual and couple psychotherapy to adult clients in a respectful environment that welcomes individuals from diverse cultural background, ethnicity, religion, gender, and sexual orientation.

Our calling is to help people on their journey to healing and wellness. Real healing and growth, we believe, is achieved by addressing the multiple dimensions that make us human beings: caring not only for the body but also the mind and spirit.

We assist clients in learning efficient coping strategies to manage theirs symptoms, emotions and stressors, using mindfulness and DBT approaches. We work collaboratively with them through transformational therapeutic approaches (Internal Family System, EMDR, Brainspotting, Somatic Approaches) to help them reach real, sustainable healing and thrive in their lives.

Each person is unique, has a specific conception of the world and responds differently to different therapeutic approaches. We will strive to tailor our therapeutic approach to your specific needs and preferences. You are encouraged to work collaboratively with us to identify your treatment goals, the way you would like to achieve them and the time you are ready to consecrate to bring change into your life.

Culturally sensitive, we are experienced in serving multicultural, LGBTQ and kink communities and offer services in English and French.

We also offer online psychotherapy through a HIPPA compliant video platform easily accessible from any computer and smart phones.

We offer consultation services in EMDR and IFS therapy and for therapists developing their skills in the treatment of trauma and dissociative disorders.
